Six Flags Magic Mountain Park Update – April 27th, 2019

West Coast Racers

The West Coast Racers preview center was back open today. That means we can get some good insight on the current progress of the new coaster.

The main construction site has seen little progress since our last update. The footers for the first and third launches are in tact, but there has been no further progress to add supports.

Work continues below ground for the sites foundation, electrical wiring, and plumbing.

There is more clearing over and around the park’s go kart attraction Cyclone 500.

It may be a little difficult to see but there are footers in the sewage drain now. They also extend to the second and fourth launches near the entrance of Apocalypse: The Ride.

The supports are currently on site waiting to be installed. There are a few track pieces as well  on property that have been arriving over the last few days.

In our opinion, Six Flags Magic Mountain has confirmed the attraction will open some time in 2019. For the past few months the new attraction has been advertised for a summer 2019 release, but as progress has been moving slowly , the park has taken a safer approach to let guest know it is delayed.

This attraction is set to be a hit and as anticipation builds we all will just have to wait and see what develops over the coming months. For now, there’s a neat photo op for guest to be a part of the race.  We still are very excited and can not wait to come back with more details for you all in the future.

  1. Last time I visited, there was a diamond security line on the far right to allow for diamond members to get through quickly. Not sure if they still have it, but it was earlier this month.
