With the theme park season drawing to a close in many countries and people forced to stay home again, we thought we’d bring you a brand new article series. Expect regular updates from myself as we explore one of the most beautiful, cultural and historical regions of Europe: Scandinavia!
We’ll be taking you from Norway across to Finland, through Sweden and then down to Denmark. We’ll be providing you with detailed insights and top tips into the theme parks each of these countries has to offer. We will also be diving into which rollercoasters and attractions you aren’t going to want to miss out on. So grab a cup of coffee, a slice of cake and enjoy!
After quite some time, we finally got out to Walibi Belgium again to take a look at the finished layout of their well-known new Intamin mega coaster coming in 2021. We got some shots of work being done in its new area and some amazing views of the completed track.

Sven: Last Sunday we did our final Halloween park this season: Disneyland Paris. No spooky mazes but lots of entertainment by Disney. Sven: After a visit to Walibi Holland, we also went out to discover the new coaster in Walibi Belgium! It’s no Untamed, but Fun Pilot might as well be for non-thrillseekers. As part of it’s master plan, the ride stands out in the new Fun World area. Let’s play!
Sven: Finally, we made it to Scandinavia! A region that was lacking on my theme park count (and thus also coaster count). Fortunately, we experienced a wonderful two days at Liseberg, the coaster kingdom of Scandinavia. A stunning launch coaster, a woodie full of airtime and one of the best family coasters out there. Sven: Bobbejaanland continues construction on their biggest coaster yet! Fury will be a record breaking coaster by Gerstlauer. This Triple Launch Coaster will be part of a brand new area called Land of Legends. See for yourself how construction continues!
Sven: It’s the Easter weekend and it’s sunny side up in Belgium. Guests are flowing in theme parks and we walked among them in Walibi Belgium. At the start of the season, the park reopened a new themed area: Karma World. Discover more about the new food, a repainted Cobra and most importantly the world’s first Erratic Dark Ride: Popcorn Revenge! Plus an update on the brand new coaster!

Alex: Halloween was already a few days ago, but that doesn’t stop us to visit some horror fun! We made a final visit to Horrorland, the new scream park in Spain and we were greatly surprised by its evolution.
Sven: Last Sunday, we ended the European theme park season in a park that won’t even be closed. Nevertheless, we had a good reason to visit Efteling on this sunny day in November: Fall colors!
