CCK went to SFMM today (September 5th) and there were no crowds, nor lines, anywhere!
We arrived at around 12’15-12’30 PM, and this is how crowded it was…
We immediately walked over to Full Throttle and there wasn’t a line! We waited for about 10 minutes, and decided to go on it a second time with an even shorter wait!
Sorry for the quality of the pictures, but below you’ll see a couple of pictures of the work that was being done on X2. There was a big crane, and about 6 people working on top of the lift hill. Maintenance expects, and tries to manage, a reopening of X2 in December.
Fright Fest is literally ‘right around the corner’, and the entire park is being decorated already. We also saw maintenance crews work on decorating fences that will create the lines for the mazes.
Colossus is being prepared for running backwards this Fright Fest, and then all spring next season!
They’re also preparing DC Universe for Fright Fest!
Tidal Wave’s line is being transformed into, probably ‘Cursed’, a maze again, and thus riders got to enter the line through the handicap/flash pass entrance. They actually made a fancy sign for that too!
Just like the sponsoring with a dedicated park wasn’t enough… Wonderful Pistachios Park got a new sign. Doesn’t look bad.
With Hurricane Harbor being closed, and it being a Jewish holiday, there was seriously no one at the park… this picture was taken around 4 PM, the second parking lot was barely touched… NO LINES!
That was about it for today. Everyone excited for Fright Fest?
