After months on top of months of waiting, California theme parks finally received reopening guidelines yesterday during the state’s weekly COVID-19 briefing. Governor Gavin Newsom along with other high-level representatives from the Golden State have decided to split up theme parks into “larger theme parks” and “smaller theme parks”. The placement of a theme park is based on its capacity. The state says it will allow smaller theme parks to reopen at 25% capacity (or 500 people, whichever is fewer) once the county the park resides in is placed into the orange tier. Reservations will be required, all park guests must live in the same county the park is in, and only outdoor attractions will be allowed to operate. For larger theme parks, the restrictions are even more suffocating, with the guidelines stating that the county the park resides in must be in the yellow tier in order to reopen. Preston: The Holidays at Universal Studios Hollywood are in full effect, so we decided to power through the Los Angeles traffic in order to check out all the Christmas festivities. In this update, we’ll take a look at everything Christmas, The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash, as well as some CityWalk happenings.
Preston: Spooky season has arrived and with that comes my favorite haunt of the year: Halloween Horror Nights! Let me just say, before we get into the thick of the review, that this year was incredible! The overall ’80’s theme really works well! We were able to attend Fan Preview Night on Thursday the 12th along with a revisit on Saturday the 14th. I’ve done all the mazes and I’m ready to give you my full ranking of them all!

Derrion: There are so many exciting changes going on at Universal Studios Hollywood and I could not have been more excited to show you them. The Lunar New Year celebration has concluded and the park has moved into full swing on the new 2019 addition(s). Lets take a look!
Derrion: With not many changes this time around, I need a bit of liquid luck from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, so why not pop in for a bit. Here’s a quick update on some neat things I look forward to seeing in the future at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Derrion: There are so many exciting additions coming to all Universal parks in the coming years and I could not be more excited to see my home park begin to reach it’s true potential. Derrion: Hello coaster royalty! I have been eager to get back to Universal Studios Hollywood as a guest after my recent impromptu trip to the Universal Orlando Resort for the first time. Universal Studios Orlando was a larger park but I noticed the quality and aesthetics of the buildings here at Universal Studios Hollywood were less outdated and more welcoming. Rather than focus on the positives and negatives of both Universal parks, this update will include recent updates and changes to Universal Studios Hollywood with a hint of contrast between the two Universal parks.
