Welcome to Hawkins! Hawkins’ new mall to be exact, which laid the scene for the brand new Stranger Things: The Drive-Into Experience located in Los Angeles! With all of the restrictions of 2020, I was eager to see what this completely covid friendly drive through experience would be like. Derrion: We had a blast attending this years media night for Knott’s Scary Farm! I’m always excited for the park at this time of year because they have one of the oldest running horror themed events for an amusement park. Knott’s Scary Farm holds a special place in my heart because I grew up attending the event with my family. This update will focus on a review of all the mazes and other additions to this years Knott’s Scary Farm .
Derrion: It is now Halloween season at Six Flags Magic Mountain! This is my favorite time of year because I love getting spooked and seeing the horror genre come to life with-in the park. This update will focus solely on the shows, scare zones, and mazes for Fright Fest 2018.
For the first time ever, Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Singapore are partnering with Netflix to bring “Stranger Things” to life at this year’s “Halloween Horror Nights” events. Fans of the series will get the chance to brave the Upside Down and confront the supernatural as each park debuts all-new mazes inspired by season one of the critically-acclaimed series. Alexander: It’s been six weeks since Six Flags Magic Mountain began 365-day operations. Have you been out to the park recently to enjoy the light crowds?
Lots of changes are already underway to help ensure an optimal 2018 and beyond at Magic Mountain, but there’s also lots of opportunities for improvement.
Sean: Six Flags Magic Mountain’s Fright Fest is back for another big year of haunting. In the past years they have had a lot of Scare Zones, they toned it down a bit to just six this year. Six Flags Magic Mountain’s Fright Fest has been one of the few events that has always impressed me with their Scare Zones, and unlike separately ticketed events, much relies on their Scare Zones. Our friend Jeremy helped us out and visited Six Flags Discovery Kingdom to check out the new VR on Kong/ Rage of the Gargoyles! This experience opens to Pass holders on Saturday the 24th for the 2016 Fright Fest event at the park! (It opens to all guests on Friday September 30th). We’ll be there with several team member, so say “hi” if you see us there!
Fear VR: 5150 is a horror based Virtual Reality experience that will be making its debut in Cedar Fair parks this season. Hollow Studios, the company behind the production of this project, has partnered with Cedar Fair Entertainment to bring Fear VR: 5150, to Canada’s Wonderland, Knott’s Scary Farm, and California’s Great America this haunt season, providing a whole new kind of cutting edge horror experience.
Six Flags Magic Mountain has opened their popular Fright Fest event for 2016! The event features SEVEN Scare Zones, some of which are among the best in the industry. Six Flags Magic Mountain, the well-known top destination for thrilling roller-coasters, opened their popular Fright Fest Halloween Event for 2016!
