Universal has been hard at work for over a year clearing and grading land for their new theme park, Epic Universe. Last week, they filed construction plans for the Nintendo section of the new theme park with the Orange County Government. Thanks to a public records request, we’ve obtained the area’s site plan, so let’s take a look!
Alexander: Our first park visit following our China excursion was a quick stop at Busch Gardens Tampa for, among other things, some fresh photos of Iron Gwazi! Let’s take a look:
Nick: After a year of speculation and rumors, Busch Gardens Tampa has finally confirmed the details of Gwazi’s conversion into a hybrid coaster. Iron Gwazi will stand 206 feet tall, and take riders through a dozen airtime moments, three inversions, and reach speeds of 76 miles per hour! Read on for more details!

Nick: It’s been quite some time since we’ve checked in on SeaWorld Orlando’s 2020 project, and a lot has happened over the past few months. Some new permit documents have been filed that all but confirm Premier Rides will be the attraction’s manufacturer, construction is well underway, and SeaWorld has even officially confirmed they will be adding a new coaster by releasing a fun teaser video! Alexander: Tigris at Busch Gardens Tampa bay has been open for a couple weeks now – with a few rides under our belt, we decided to take some time to do a little photo shoot with Florida’s newest coaster!
Back in late March we broke the news that permits had been filed for SeaWorld Orlando’s 2020 attraction. Thanks to a public records request through the Orange County Government, we can now share the site plan which reveals new details about the project, and confirms it will indeed be a roller coaster!

While some general details were announced on March 1st, the RMC conversion of Gwazi still largely remains a mystery. Now, thanks to a document recently filed with the FAA, we can confirm at least one stat of the new coaster – it will be 210 feet tall!
