California TOP 50 – 2016 – Part TWO (40-31)
We’re back with another SUPER POLL SUNDAY! Today we let readers vote for the best new attraction of 2016, in California! We have selected seven new attractions around the state as nominees and it’s your turn to VOTE! This year brought us one of the world’s best steel coasters and dark rides, as well as several re-makes of older rides… read on and VOTE! 😀 
Although some of the most famous and talked about drops are found on massive roller coasters or drop towers, there’s something uniquely thrilling about a relatively unrestrained drop that ends in a splash, especially on a hot sunny California day. This list will be counting down the top five drops found on water rides throughout our wonderful state of California. 
The saying goes that numbers don’t lie, but they don’t always tell the whole truth. Although a towering giant of a coaster can deliver an unforgettable ride experience, sometimes big things come in small packages.That’s exactly what we’re looking at today. Height is just a number, a ride should speak for itself, and that’s exactly what these five coasters under the height of a hundred feet do. 
On Saturday January 23rd, several ACE Members/ Film makers premiered their newest work, a wonderful documentary telling the story of one of the most influential theme-park ride and rollercoaster manufacturers the world has ever seen, Arrow. On January 30th, a week later, the crew came down south to Six Flags Magic Mountain to show coaster-fans their work. I was there and must say it was wonderful! 
It’s December 31st 2015. It’s hard to believe that another year has passed. 2015 was one heck of a wild ride, what a year it was for us here at California Coaster Kings, and the amusement industry as a whole. Let’s celebrate the great memories of the year past, while also looking for even better things to come. Please join us as we look back at 2015 and all the amazingness it brought and as we look into the magical future of 2016, which seems to be another amazing year for parks and park-goers in California!
As the year comes to a close we took our last Disney trip for the year. Here we saw our last viewings of Aladdin and of Big Thunder Ranch before they close. Here’s quick end of the year update.
With the fanfare wildly expecting the upcoming Star Wars movie, Season of the Force is certainly a popular event. In the meanwhile, Disney’s holiday celebration is what we’ll look at today in a brief update around DCA and a look at the new version of Jedi Trials at Disneyland.
Well we’re back at Disneyland after a small hiatus, but don’t worry there’s plenty to update on! First week for Season of the Force and the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort combined with the never-ending Diamond Celebration equals a recipe for a sight to behold! Nonetheless we’ll get to our update of the recent changes and review of the much anticipated Hyperspace Mountain.
While the Disney/Star Wars enthusiasts count down the days until Season of the Force next month as well as Christmas Time coming around (yes…I’ve already mentioned Christmas on the second of October… :D). But first, Disney during Halloween Time is still pretty awesome in its own right. Today there was a hint of fall in the air, otherwise it kept with the theme of the recent warm weather. The park wasn’t exactly at its busiest throughout the day except rides were having occasional “technical difficulties”.
This state of endless roller-coasters, and almost every type of coaster, park, and audience, has a lot of highlight attractions. We’ve all gone crazy over several roller-coaster additions over the years, but there are some hidden-gem moments on coasters around the state, that we believe makes them a great deal better than they would’ve been without. This time we’re taking a look at the 5 Best Hidden-Gem Moments on Coasters in California! 
Not only did we hit Six Flags but we went to Disney as well. Since our last visit two weeks a LOT of the park has been decorated. It’s practically “Halloween Time”!! (Technically it’s two weeks away but the premier attractions, Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain: Ghost Galaxy, are already up and running.) The weather was cloudy and muggy, but nonetheless better than the extreme heat we’ve faced over the last week. *WARNING There will be a spam of Haunted Mansion Photos 🙂

Well we’re back at Disneyland and the summer crowds have disappeared. For a Saturday the park was certainly empty, especially compared to the masses seen over the summer. Now Disneyland and DCA have begun preparations for Halloween as seen by the increased presence of Jack Skellington merchandise.

It has been a little while since we have been to Disneyland, but finally our update is here! As most may know Disney is partaking in a grand Diamond Celebration capping its 60th anniversary. With enormous crowds, extremely popular nightly events, and refurbished rides there is a lot to catch up on.

Pre-lifts come in many different forms, from well-themed indoor ones, to speedy drops out of the station, to funky little twists and turns.
