Greetings, all! Fresh on the heels of our latest Ohio adventure (and with another one impending to cap our 2020 regional park season), we decided it was time to publish our 2nd annual ranking of Ohio’s coasters!
We’re fortunate enough to have ridden all traditional Giga coasters in the world (that means lift-hill followed by several additional elements). We figured we may as well create a ranking of them all! We know our opinion can be a bit shocking at times, thus we asked Instagram followers on @thecoasterkings to guide is in creating this list. Nick: After months of speculation and leaks, Kings Island has finally unveiled the official details of their 2020 coaster, Orion! The ride will stand 287 feet tall, feature a 300 foot drop, and reach speeds of 91 miles per hour along its 5,321 feet of track! It will be the centerpiece attraction of the new Area 72, a re-theme of the current X-Base section of the park. Read on for all the details!

Sean: Obviously we like Vekoma’s products, and though admittedly some can be a bit rough or intense to the point where most modern riders find them uncomfortable, not all Vekoma coasters are created equally.
